I don't have any objection to ANTLR, just I don't have any experience
with it, though I have done a little with pccts.  The dfa code is mostly
in C++ and is going to stay that way so I don't have any objections

You might seriously want to look into Matt's parser library he was
working on before he left since he was using ANTLR.
