that's bad.
i also had such small problem 1/2 a year ago.
the harddisk in my laptop broke 
i thought i was lucky because i also had a hd backup of all my data 
but the bad thing is it also broke on restoring the system
(greate all important data gone )
this was the point i thought making backups dosnt't change anything.
