While I can not speak for all of what goes on in Novell and I shouldn't
comment on the current layoffs.

I can assure you that Novell is committed to contining to deploy and
support AppArmor. It is still my job to develop and push AppArmor
and my new manager has assured me that he will provide additional
resources where and as he can. A particular example I can offer
is that the YaST team is picking up development of the YaST
AppArmor module.

I can also assure the community that I will continue to work with
Crispin, my former collegues and the community in general to
continue the development of AppArmor.
