Well, it happened a week later than expected but Gnome 2.16 is in the
FreeBSD tree and now resides in LOCALBASE.  the BSD# should be all good
now.  I had hoped to get the BSD# tree merged for the 6.2 release but
that would require portmgr approval and I decided not to bother them
(and aggravate them if things broke) while they were dealing with the
Gnome 2.16 merge and the python 2.5 breakage during the ports tree
freeze.
