We're using mono on FreeBSD/amd64 with dual opterons in production but had
problems with SMP and pthreads.

We had to force the kernel threads in FreeBSD to use only one CPU by setting
the sysctl kern.threads.virtual_cpu to 1 otherwise we get random segfaults.

I think Phillip was going to try to find out if and when -CURRENT fixed this
issue as it happens in RELENG_6 but not on his -CURRENT box. I may try to
pinpoint it as well if I can get a SMP VM working on some of my hardware.

Otherwise mono 1.2 runs very stable and it has helped us out greatly!
