"Translate this application" has no effect

That's a menu item specific to Ubuntu. I have no idea how it works. They 
added it themselves. You'll probably have to ask about it on a 
Ubuntu/Kubuntu help list or forum. Sorry.

So you're seeing menu items in three languages? I'm guessing KDE looks for 
catalan, can't find it and falls back to spanish, then to english? That's a 
bit weird.
