Personally, I have little use for an image as the abstract field. The
vast majority of papers that I work with are available online, for the
few that are not, I can live without the abstract in the database.
However, it should be rather easy to add this to the entry template:
Just have a look at the .xsl file. I found the language and the
structure surprisingly simple. All the important elements are there, so
your idea should be implementable with mostly copy-and-paste.
