tellico crashes when importing a file list

hey everybody,

i got a pdf collection managed with tellico.

the first time i tried adding files via the import file listing it 
imported everything fine.

now when i try to add files from a directory to my current collection 
with the merge option tellico keeps crashing.

im using 8 different collection fields for the information i want to 
apply to the files.

when i make a new collection without custom collection fields i can add 
files to this new collection without problems, just as soon as i add 
custom collection fields and try adding files, tellico crashes.

KCrash: Application 'tellico' crashing...
KCrash cannot reach kdeinit, launching directly.


im using tellico 1.1.6, on a gentoo system, running fluxbox.

any ideas?
