bitrates of audio file

I created a small patch (attached) for my personal use to automatically
import bitrates of audio files to a newly added bitrate column. Would
the patch have any bad side effects on the program?

(I know a new column would have required a po file update and
translation work but since it's for personal use, I didn't use the i18n
function.)
