upcoming version 1.2.8

Hi everyone.

I've accumulated a number of bug fixes in the 1.2 branch, so I plan to make 
a version 1.2.8 release shortly. I believed I've fixed most, if not all, of 
the bugs that have been reported. Are there any others that people are 
seeing? I'm not making any substantial changes to the 1.2 branch or adding 
any new translation strings, but everything else is fair game.
