I am thinking about expanding functions of tellico. I want to use it
as ethnographic museum catalog software. The "Loan" function is great
(because item can be loan to another museum), but I need the same
function called "Exhibition" (Exposition), to notice that this item is
on the exhibition (every fields in Loan are also good for
"Exhibition). Do you think, that it will be hard to do? What I should
learn to do this (I am not coder, but I can understand basic sources
writen in some languages, which editor for gui part will be the
best?), which files should interest me?
I am also thinking about compile tellico with my own type of
collection, i had look at sources in tellico-1.2.9/src/collections
and I hope I can make my own type, but any advices are welcome!
Thanks for help, for now I am working in Polish, but if every thing
will go well, I will translate my work to English and give it to
community disposition.
At the end few notes.
Idea with plugins for tellico is great! Maybe someone can think about
realization if this idea?
It will be great if tellico can work better with list selection fields
when you are adding database entry (for exanple: we have field where
we can chose values: Green, Yellow, Red and we want to add Blue, so we
must go to form editing part of tellico and add value Blue there). It
will be great if we can manage values in the list field when we are
adding new item. Hehe I know, that for this things there is kexi, but
working with tellico is better in my opinion, and I need to have
system that will be easy editable for others.
And other idea. In list of borrowers there could be buttons to edit
list of borrowers (to add them, edit, delete).
