Ok, the open dialog works correctly now. Not sure what was wrong.
As for the crash, the backtrace told me it ws because of
"emit layoutChanged();", line 213 of src/models/entrygroupmodel.cpp

It looks like the crash happens when I try to save some entries containing
things like "</i>" in the description.
