Thanks for your reply. Before I read this I have already gone back to 1.3.5. 
Imdb is working fine now. What I was trying to say before was that any movie
you search for returns no results.
But that's history now. I'll wait for a proper kde4 port.

However my images are still missing. I have not changed my original settings
of storing images in the file. I used the term vast majority because I have
1100 movies. Virtually all of them had images in their records (covers). If
you click on a record the cover used to show in the bottom pane. Now most of
them that were there are now gone. I don't mean to sound vague but I don't
think you want me to start naming hundreds of missing images. Over a year
ago i was storing the images in a separate folder. That folder still exists
but the dates on the files are quite old so I assumed that the program was
actually storing them in the tc file like I wanted. but now I just dont see
them. Some show and some dont.
