Installation from CD/DVD is currently not working in YaST.  
We intend to have this fixed by Beta 11.

This is why I was recommending creating an install source.  
I should have been more specific and suggested a network install 
source. 

There are at least 2 solutions in the mean time:

1) Create a network install source from CD.

Here are two "Cool Solutions" articles that detail the process of
setting 
up a network installation source from CD.  Both articles are for other

versions of SUSE.  But the process is essentially the same.

2) Create a network install source from a DVD.

The image on the DVD is identical to a network install source.  Copy
the image to a hard drive and replace the install-initrd... file.
