Are you certain you updated both hypervisor and kernel (and they both are from the most recently posted tarballs)?
Almost none of the pointers into code in the backtrace you provided point to instruction boundaries when comparing with
the disassembly of the kernel from the package currently shown as 'latest'. Jan

I've tried installing this on a couple of different VT machines and the 
systems will not successfully boot afterwards. The crash from one of the 
machines is attached.
