One more idea:

Are you really using yast dirinstall?  That's no longer the best way to
install a VM.  Use "yast2 xen" (it's in the System section of YaST).  It
will perform a proper installation of SUSE in the VM, and it will
generate the proper config file (with no "nics" option, and domUloader,
etc.)

That's what we're using, and it's working well in RC1.
